About

A freelance writer and innkeeper, former journalist, and an assistant marketing director/events coordinator for an Ivy League bookstore, my goal has always been to shine a light on great stories wherever I find them.

My favorite Christmas present as a child, was the big red volume of Reader’s Digest Great Stories for Young Readers. I guess I’ve been seeking them out ever since.

While most everyone loves a good love story, I’ve always loved mysteries more. Be it Thriller, Cozy, True Crime, Historical Fiction, Film or Series (especially British Mystery), I can’t get enough of them.

I’ve been fortunate to interview authors, host author events including a BookTV episode and get to know a few through Sisters in Crime and social media.

I also had the privilege to meet Mary Higgins Clark and have my children’s book, The Christmas Bus, included in the window with hers at a book signing in Spring Lake, NJ. I had to pinch myself, as I had written my very first short story as an entry in her magazine’s competition.

Today I read more mysteries than I write but hope to share a few with you in the coming months.

PS: My ear-to-ear grin photo is of me sitting at David Suchet’s Poirot desk at the Torquay Museum.
