Don’t wait until September to read Lesson Plan for Murder

In Lesson Plan for Murder, Lori Robbins gives a witty Master Class into the lives of real teacher moms juggling it all – for better or worse.

Valerian Hills High English teacher Liz Hopewell is not only is trying to prevent all the proverbial balls she has in the air from crashing down on her but sets out to solve a colleague’s murder, whose body she stumbled upon on the first day of the new school year, not long after a run-in with the previously exasperating victim.

Throw in a dysfunctional childhood, workplace hierarchy, a couple of teenagers, a work-obsessed husband, a romance-obsessed sister, not to mention a good-looking detective and readers are sure to enjoy this light cozy mystery with fun plot twists.

Maybe it’s the New Jersey setting but Robbins’ Liz Hopewell reminded me of what Stephanie Plum might be like if the bounty hunter had chosen a different profession.

I highly recommend Lesson Plan for Murder, the debut of Lori Robbins’ Master Class Mysteries and look forward to reading future installments of the series.
