Hilarity ensues

If you’re hankering for a ho, ho, ho of a Christmas cozy, you’ll love Tamara Berry’s The Claus Conspiracy.

Berry’s Amber Winslow is a 30-something, former PI in training/barista with a 99-year-old pet tortoise named Tatiana – just slightly older than the eccentric octogenarians from Seven Ponds Retirement Community, with whom she produces the Death Comes Calling podcast.

As you might imagine The Claus Conspiracy has Santa front and center. In fact, there’s a host of Santas, including one found in the trunk of a car that an amnesic teenager crashed into a cactus outside Seven Ponds. Toss in Amber’s chance for romance with Tatiana’s vet, her former Navy Seal ex/private investigator, who has gone missing, all leads to a holiday romp of a mystery or three.

I highly recommend The Claus Conspiracy to fans of Christmas cozies, humorous cozies, and traditional mysteries. I received an advanced reader copy from Poisoned Pen Press, courtesy of NetGalley. Order online or buy now at your favorite independent bookstore. Mine is Sellers Books and Art in Jim Thorpe, PA.
